RESISTANCE
I had a very brief conversation over the weekend about a podcast a friend had heard on resistance and in it was stating that resistance comes from our coping mechanisms – true, and therefore we do not sabotage ourselves – hmmm 🤔 .....
This peaked my interest and my ears pricked up at this point as It is my belief that some resistance can be a form of self-sabotage and creates a lot of our limitations as it’s part of our subconscious programming coming from our wounding from childhood.
We created strategies for protection from repeating this wounding. This helps us cope with uncomfortable emotions and decrease the side effects of stress and anxiety when triggered into our flight or fight response. They become our default and we fall back into our childhood feelings and coping styles that sabotage our adult life and this is what we need to heal. Once we are in our fight or flight survival mode we are fully in the past and in our inner child wounding, reacting from past experiences and not what is currently going on.
As the lines from my “Shit Show Vs Calm and Flow” poem say’s “Your survival brain creates walls to protect you that are built on soft ground that only serve to neglect you!” and “Your mind will tell you stories when you are in this place, it’s only an illusion to keep you safe” 🥰 ….
Once we become aware of these patterns of resistance we are empowered to make different choices and respond in a way that serves us rather than reacting from our coping mechanisms that sabotage us.💫🌟💫

I was inspired to write this poem after writing my blog about Shit Show Vs Calm & Flow
REFLEXOLOGY is an incredably relaxing treatment to receive...
Did you know the nerve endings from the body’s organs and areas of the body end in the soles of the feet. Through manipulation of these reflex points, signals are transported through these nerve endings to the spine (central nervous system) and out to the corresponding organ, gland or muscle, where blocked energy is released bringing balance back into the body’s systems.
As there is a mind/body connection as you release and balance out tension in the body, you also release and balance out tension in the mind and after a treatment clients tend to report to have an overall feeling of calm, peace and tranquility from the inside out.

When we are stuck in our head we can cause ourselves unnecessary stress and anxiety....
IT'S EASY FOR OUR LIVES TO GET OUT OF BALANCE WITH THE STRESSES OF DAY TO DAY LIFE....
Did you know we have programming from childhood that actually pulls us out of balance on a daily basis and we naturally go to this as our default!
As a child, in times of stress, if we didn’t know how to process or cope with a situation, it would have been perceived as a threat as it made us feel unsafe. This triggers and programmes our nervous system to go into flight or flight survival mode and coping mechanisms were created to deal with the emotional overwhelm and this programming was then stored within our subconscious.
90% of our RE-ACTIONS in ADULT life that bring us out of balance are stemming from this negative programming from CHILDHOOD and not coming from a rational adult perspective, or sometimes even related to the current situation. It’s coming from stories, thought forms, beliefs and attachments from the past which makes us want to control the situation out of fear and keeps us in cycles of self – sabotage. This can make us feel unstable and out of balance.
There are many ways to reprogramme and rebalance our nervous system so we don’t get triggered into overwhelm. Look out for future posts on this subject where I will be giving you tips and an understanding of the processes to help you RESPOND from a place of STABILITY and EMOTIONAL BALANCE rather than REACT from your SURVIVAL instincts.

When you love yourself you don’t put up with the same crap you did in the past. You know your worth and you know that you deserve better. You see the red flags sooner and you act on them because you respect yourself too much to put up with anything less than the best. Recognise others bad behaviour as their wounding that they are projecting onto you, it’s not personal and you are not responsible for doing the healing work for them. Go inward and do the healing work on yourself first and watch your outside world change. You can only receive the amount of love you have for yourself... self love is the bases for healing all problems.
